Jensen Interceptor III and Alfa Romeo 2000 Veloce

#1 Post by Ian » Tue Oct 15, 2013 8:03 pm

well, the Aston is finished and I will soon be hitting the TR6 rebuild with gusto but in the meantime I have been given these as fill in jobs. They've been stored in a shed for 18 months or so and were thick with dirt, leaves and mould. A few hours with the detailing kit and they're looking more like their old self again. And now for the pics, must admit the Jensen makes me whinny when I see it. Need to sort an oil leak and I'll be off our for a drive :D

Looking lovely and shiny but which would you pick, Aston or Jensen?
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Jensen all day long for me I'm afraid. The Aston is in far better condition that this Jensen but I prefer that massive Chrysler V8

Ian, I'm not remotely envious of the things you get to play with at your work! No, not even a little.  ;)

Hmm, if he's having one of the fancy Grand Tourers, that leaves the practical and pretty wee Alfa for me!

Hmm, maybe someone should hack a V10 into one of those......

For an Aston? Sounds like a fair swap, where does one sign? :P

 Please tell me that it's a) cheap and b) one of the very few automatic versions that they made.

Maybe I could swap a few of these for the car? ;)

It's not an automatic but I'd imagine it won't be mega expensive

Seeing this thread motivates me to hang on to my 73 Interceptor. It's pretty solid as it's an Oklahoma car but the sun took its toll on the interior.
