Our Victor

#1 Post by skipper » Thu Oct 10, 2013 8:36 pm

Thought I would let you folks have a look at my Victor 2000. It`s a January `68 FD in Oyster Grey, the earliest known to the FD Register apparently, and the only one remaining in this colour. I haven`t had it long, about 6 months, but I always promised myself I would own one of these. It was recommissioned after a long lay-up in a barn by one of the founding members of the FD Register, who already had at least two FDs, he got it an mot and passed it onto the clubs technical advisor who did further work and had it painted. Four years after it`s initial recovery from the barn, I became it`s new custodian.
It runs great and has only 58000 miles on it. I like it, a lot!

I've never really been a huge Vauxhall fan, but I do like these :) I'll also refrain for Randell and Hopkirk comments! ;)

Who said that? :o

Nice. I've owned a couple of FEs but never had an FD (yet?). I could fancy a nice Ventora as I love the note that the IL6 makes even if it's thirstier and slower than a VX4/90. 8-)

Are you still looking at the flowers at the top of the page then john?
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Flowers? I must be missing something  , but I'm seeing nothing wrong with the pictures, they look fine to me. :)
