Spring Over Axle conversion. Relocates the leaf springs from under the axles to above the axles. Probably the best way of lifting the vehicle to give much needed ground clearance.

Just a lot more work to do properly than just using higher leafs.

Cool, I have seen that done with Suzuki "jeeps". My 4x4ing is all on things with coils, the only suspension mod I have ever done with leaf spring cars is to lower the back of my mog by 1 1/2" (it is back to normal now).
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

The tip referred to lowering the floor as the council wouldn't spot that during one of their spot checks whereas they may just notice a roof extension. A kitten register member I know did that to fit his Tandy Fox Motorhome into a similar lockup though in fact swapping the up & over door for a pair of gates would also have given him sufficient extra. :lol:
