My 'other' project. Triumph TR6

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

My 'other' project. Triumph TR6

Triumph TR6 2.5 PI in Old English White. Quite literally this car is undergoing a full nut and bolt restoration to a show standard. Here are a few before shots...

Image

99% complete and a runner, albeit very rough and with virtually no brakes.

Image

Strip-down underway, the body might look pretty good but the inner / outer front and rear wings, front panel, boot-lid, door bottoms, and rear panel all need extensive work.

Image

Painstakingly stripping off the paint by hand. Finding more and more bodges which just keeps adding to the 'to do' list

Image

Chassis almost totally naked and ready for the blasters.

Image

Blasted and Zinc Phosphate primed, ready for repairs before finishing in chassis black.

Will post up more as work progresses.

Beautiful car, we only get them with three carbs, but no fuel injection. I'm pretty sure that I'll own one some day.
