My cars

#1 Post by 205xld » Sun Mar 17, 2013 8:01 pm

Quite new on here so I thought I would post a few photographs of my cars. Unfortunately none of them are considered to be classics.

1981 Renault 14 TS, purchased new in March 1981 by my Father. I have the original purchase invoice and all other paperwork and literature for this car.
This photograph was taken before any restoration work had been carried out.

There are still a few odd jobs to do to complete, for example the gradient band decal is still to be fitted to the front wings and the plastic trim of both rear wheelarches.

1983 BMW 323i, purchased September 1990, restoation work carried out between 1992 and 1993. Mileage is around 120000 miles.

1987 Peugeot 205 XLD, purchased new in May 1987. restoration work carried out in 2011, mileage is 500092 miles.

I will post photographs of my other cars later as Photobucket is playing up.

Welcome - looks like you've done some good work there.

Re. Renault 14 - only the French would mount an oil filter at that angle eh?.....
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

Loving all your cars mate, that 205 reminds me of my youth! I remember selling parts for them for the dealer I was working for as an apprentice parts person, the genuine oil filter was an 110982 and the sumo plug washer was a 21927

Hello again. I commented on that lovely R14 in your previous intro thread..... ;)

It looks just as good now, you obviously have the knack with preserving cars if the 500k 205 is anything to go by.
An E30 as well, love those. 8-)

Are my eyes dreaming or has that 205 done over five hundred thousand miles??!!

That's absolutely astronomical, but yet the car looks to be in a truly excellent shape and a credit to you!

Unbelieveable good build quality. It makes my 55,000 mile 205 look like it has hardly been driven.
