MGB GT 2.8 V6
I have always liked the MGB GT so in 2010 i took the plunge and bought a 1978 model off Ebay
also discovered lots of melted wires and a fair bit of rust

With the welding finished its time to start putting the car back together
I've lead loaded all the welds to try and use as little filler as possible

The front crossmember, antiroll bar,and suspension parts have been sandblasted & powder coated
All new polybushes, replaced wheel bearings added drilled and grooved disks new calipers and brake hoses
Chrome bumper height springs were used , the shock absorbers are refurbished units from Moss UK as the originals were in a very poor condition
The rear axle has had the same sndblast and powdercoating as the front and new leaf springs have been attached A chrome bumper valance has been added and the back axle attached to the car
Adjustable shocks have replaced the old lever arm ones
The underneath of the car has had a couple of coats of Schutz to keep the tin worm at bay

Re: MGB GT 2.8 V6
Brake lines have been fitted so the car can stop when i push it around the unit
The panel gaps on the doors needs a bit of work so that'll keep me busy for a while
I have been lucky egnough to store my car in a local garage unit so if i do have any problems there is always somebody there to ask

Re: MGB GT 2.8 V6
With the car now in undercoat to keep the rust at bay it was time to refit the engine
A scrap sierra came my way with a lovely 2.8 v6 cologne engine i wonder if it will fit
fits like a glove
The o/s exhaust manifold was to close for comfort and the n/s hit the chassis rails Time to make custom manifold and exhaust

Re: MGB GT 2.8 V6
The original alternator bracket was cut to size using an angle grinder and used to mount the alternator, all that's needed now is a custom tension bar
As the engine sits a little higher than the old 1800 unit i've put an air scoop in

Re: MGB GT 2.8 V6
I havn,t been able to work on the mechanics of the car for various reasons, so i thought i'll have a go at the interior.
Automotive Vynil was bought from ebay and with lots of spray glue and a staple gun off i went
The first job to tackle was the headlining so i used the old boards as templates and added new foam
I used ivory headlining material
