My E28 M5 and Vauxhall PA Veloxes
My E28 M5 and Vauxhall PA Veloxes
Hi, I'm Bill and... here's my cars... with a twist.
Here's my PAs, a 1962 Velox project:
My 60 Velox that was just recovered from theft....
Before:
Now
And my "1988" M5, one of the first built, 88 model year, data plate says 1/87, actual build date 11/86!
Oh, what makes them odd? They live 6 miles from New York City.
Both the PAs are LHD and came from Canada, I bought the Blue one in April of '01 out of Sarnia, Ontario and drove it back to Orlando, Florida when I lived there. The car was stolen just over 3 years ago and JUST relocated. It's on its' way home to New Jersey from Connecticut where it was recovered from a body shop of all places. It's taken some damage and being left outside for 3 years has caused rust to pop up all over, but it's still solid and will be re-restored. The yellow one is a previous 1 owner car out of Ottawa, Ontario. I bought it on eBay in May of 03 and haven't gotten to it yet..... Needs an engine, just can't get a straight answer as to whether or not a 3.3 is a direct fit replacement?
I've had the M5 since Feb of '06, that was my all time dream car growing up
I have a couple of modern cars but I won't bore ya with the details..

Hey,WiseguyPA is that you ?
Have you forgotten that once we were brought here we were robbed of our names, robbed of our language,we lost our religion, our culture, our God? And many of us by the way we act,we even lost our minds.

Re: My E28 M5 and Vauxhall PA Veloxes
I have seen a few 3.3 conversions with PB/PC engines in the UK - I had a 2.3 and a 2.6, the 2.6 had a floor change conversion done.
Re: My E28 M5 and Vauxhall PA Veloxes
Well I have a 2262 and a 2.6... the 2262 has barely enough power to keep up with traffic around here, but I'd like to make the 62 somewhat quick. So far I am thinking that the following setup is the way to go...
3.3 Engine from a PC
Ventora rear diff
Custom intake manifold with a Weber DCOE.
Figure this ought to put close to 150hp at the rear wheels from what I have read. Also, this way I can have Air Conditioning in the car and still keep up with traffic, and the Ventora diff means that cruising along at 80 will be no sweat.
