Thought i'd update you guys on how the '72 merc performed as the wedding car at my wedding. Got back from honeymoon couple of days ago, and hadn't driven anything for a month! couldn't wait to jump back into any car and drive! Anyway everyone loved the merc! and it looked great as a wedding car (biased i know) :) a few pics taken by friends and family...nothing special but here they are anyway
A couple of days before, last drive before the day

Lovely car. You must be so proud! :) Oh, and congratulations on the wedding!

Where was this picture taken. It could almost be an old road circuit.

The cars all look great! Congratulations on your marriage too :D

It's funny seeing the kids and thinking of a car that would have been 40 years old when I was their age. It would be something from the late 1940s! Great to see them enthusiastic about it!

Thanks for the comments pryantcc, my little cousins were saying things like, "wow, it looks soo old! they loved the red interior, and were laughing at simple things like the front seats having no headrests"

Being an 80's child myself, I was asked by the man I bought it off "son, why do you want this car, you wern't even around when it was made", maybe in a previous life I was a merc driver :)

adam43, that picture was taken just off the A45/M42, not far from Birmingham AIrport...
