Post pictures of your pride and joy

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

Do you know what the UK reg was on both those cars? I'd like to add them to the Wedgister I'm slowly building if possible. There's a few wedges in New Zealand, or were at least, so I wonder if those were exports too or if they could be bought there new but not in Australia.

Hello. It is good you have a "Wedgister". In New Zealand wedges were built in CKD form and were always known as Austin Princess. There are some there as occasionally one comes up for sale. I know of a Wolseley car club New Zealand member who has 3 or 4 wedges but all under restoration. The Wolseley in the photo is from Queensland and owned by the president of the Qld Wolseley club. He imported it from Jersey some time ago. Unfortunately a lot of work had to be done to repair rust damage. The white one is a 1979 Princess 2 2000HL model. Vin No is removed by admin with engine number removed by admin. I have no record of previous registration numbers.Hope this helps. Trevor

I have removed the vehicle identification information from the previous post to help prevent the possibility of a ringer being created from it.
Please send information such as this via PM.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Nice one - and interesting too! I took my XJS V12 convertible to the testing station here in France the other day and the owner was full of the fact that he'd bought a Fregate the previous Sunday. He offered to buy the Jaguar but I told him he'd probably have enough to worry about for now...

 That's lovely. I don't think I've ever met a RHD Fregate. From which country was it brought into the UK? I see it's now taxed up to next May 1st, so maybe it'll be at some of the shows I plan to see in the coming months.

My new 'classic', a '97 XJ. Picking it up tomorrow. This will be Jeep number 9, and XJ number 3. (it's an addiction)

Not exactly 'old', but basically the same as when the XJ first came out, in '84.

Yup! I have to agree with you , once you have a Mopar product they are like an addiction worse than crack or cigs!

Drove it home from the sellers last night, drove it to work this morning. Happy with it so far. Tracks straight, no leaks/drips (that i've found yet), Everything works as it should (lights, windows, mirrors, gauges, etc).

Couple of items for the fix it list:
Radio has 'Wait', so will have to figure out how to reset it.
Interior lights don't come on, probably a fuse
Front diff grumbles when in 4wd, but fine in 2wd.
