Cheers Chaps, feeling better about it already, I actually felt guilty parting with her for some reason, perhaps its the result of the tons of hours spent and just how much work was done.

Anyway, I do like having my Garage back for other things, I'm off out to give the Merc an oil change in a minute and for once I won't get wet while doing a bit.

John, I got engine mount conversion plates for the front subframe as I'm a lazy so and so and don't want to swap it out being ok.

And, specially for Tractor man, I promise no Fo*d colours in sight when I do the mini, I'm considering Lamborghini green for this one...

I'm not sure the forum could take another orange car, it might explode!
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

When I were nowt but a lad in the late 60s and early 70s, a proper Mini had to have orange paint with black roof and bonnet. It also needed a length of rubber conveyor belt across the back instead of mudflaps!

There again, the Lamborghinis I knew were all white...

Yeah, I don't think I can compete with the amazing orangeyness of robs car though.

Rich, I recently did a Moto Guzzi in a Nissan red, was pretty close to the original colour too, quite a nice shade but red minis have been done to death now.

Sorry to hear Rusty has gone to a new home, it's best not to grieve, but to enjoy what you have now. You did it for a reason, so have fun :)
