Finally! After a bit of chess play with moving the cars(4x4 & van included)
the boat is out of the garage, and i can get to my tools etc.
Only to find my engine crane has pissed fluid all over!

I will have to get that fixed, but a lot can be done on the car before I need it.
Time to get started

Well there was a good bit of weather today.
The engine crane was fixed at the weekend, a rubber grommet
thats all the problem was with it.
And body was ok for a bit so I jacked up the front of the car,
and removed the drive shafts.
The left hand side first, the shortest of the two, and the one
that ended up coming apart. the shaft itself came out of the
tripod housing in the gear box.

Well I can lift the gearbox out if the car with it in!
The right hand side came out of the gearbox no problem, I
just had a problem lifting it through and pas the hub assembly.

The Shock absorber/strut with spring was unbolted top and
bottom then removed as when the hub pulled forward and
down I was able to remove the outer cv/drive shaft from the
hub. This mena tI didn't to remove the full hub assembly, it
also ment it was less work putting the strut assembly back in.
This so the wheels could be put back on so the car can be
moved in and out of the garage more easily.

As the temperature dropped so did my body temp!! I have been
trying for the past 4+ hours to try and get the heat back into my
legs and feet, with no luck. It's even harder when your diabetic
no electric blankets or hot water bottles aloud as I burn and
blister easily.

I need the warm weather to the job better.

I did a little more today, exhaust manifold is off cooling system is drained disconnected the a/c pipes from the condencer and pump.

If weather stays ok in the morning I will have to drain the automatic gearbox as though I was to change it's oil. This is due to it's cooling radiator is part of the main radiator. then I can remove the radiators in one go.

I found out that the wheels on the engine crane,
are so well worn that the crane has moving while
it has a load on the hook!

When did I find out?
When me, and both my parents spent this morning
trying to get it out of the trailer(bloody hoop/rollcage)

Engine is out of the trailer, sitting on wood and tyre off
the landrover. And I thought great i few hours to fix the
engine crane then get the engine into the garage!!
NO!!! it's forecast heavy rain or SNOW!! Tonight!!

In a short break in the weather, I managed to
LPG wiring loom removed and it's ecu.
Unplug engine wiring loom and remove the 4 pot ecu.
Unbolted power steering pump from engine, but left pipes connected
(keeping original power steering rack & pump off neon)

More pictures in the morning when raing stops!

I've heard of this swap before, should be really fun once it's finished.

Well the altanater is problematic, and won't budge.
The A/C compressor, and its mounting bracket have been removed.
This is how she looks at the minute, I wish I had better health, so I
can get more done quickley before the weather changes
