Way to go - I was at an auction recently ana saw a not too tidy 75 V6 go through - guided at £2 - £3k and the hammer dropped at £5k ! so looks like they are on the way up - but then again so is everything else - are you looking to turn the venture in full time employment or is this still a for fun thing to do ?

Not entirely convinced I can give up the day job yet. I saw that 75, promising sign it got that price.

Still here! Bought another Alfa as a daily, 156 are sooo cheap at the moment worth grabbing a good one.
So I have a 2.5V6 24V Lusso in fantastic condition.

164 Cloverleaf is one badge away from being complete, the 75 is still in rude heath and makes me grin like no other, the Spider has been stolen by the wife and the Alfett GTV resto starts soon!
Kettle is always on at the unit for anyone passing by in north devon!

Other manufacturers take note: Alfa Romeo can make cars that stand apart from the crowd of similarly dull, modern blobs and the 156 is an example of how it should be done! That's a very lovely thing, nice buy.

Well if 156's are the topic of today (or one of them), my 1998 2.0 TwinSpark (Sportpack 2 option) .. been in family since new ..

The side repeaters are now clear but she still looks like this (if you ignore the odd "car park" incident) ... that 'crusty' door-mirror support has been replaced too.

I have to admit having stuck my nose up as them as being too new for me and not hardcore drivers cars enough. But I'm very impressed , they handle really well and with the Q Tronic box with sport and city mode you can waft or hoon manual changing a 4 speed box. I used to lease new cars as daily drivers for a fixed cost commuter but now I get to be in alfas all the time for and actually save money (sort of lol, I spend it on other alfas!)

It's just has a new headgasket at 204,552 miles ... Last one was around 82k when I had head and big-ends done when cam belt tensioner seized! Probably cost about £250 to diy including a few new tools ...
I'd ordered this Alfa before I'd even test driven one ... And wasn't disappointed. Still aren't ...
