Re: My Rover 2000SC automatic daily driver
Thanks for all of the positive comments. :) Paul, that sounds like a pity as regards that 2000. I must admit, I do drive it at normal speeds, keeping up with modern traffic, but it's not thrashed. :) Since my last update, the car has had four new tyres fitted, firestones, which offered a good qualit...

Re: My Rover 2000SC automatic daily driver
Basically, I decided I'd like a classic, because I've always been very interested in classic cars, and also because of other things such as relatively cheap insurance considering the type of car, tax exemption and so on. I considered all manner of classics, before narrowing my choices down to a Rove...

Re: My Rover 2000SC automatic daily driver
From what I understand from the manual, L is for low, meaning that if you engage it when stationary, the car will remain in first gear, and will do if you select it below a certain speed, but if you're driving along, and select it, it will hold the car in second, for moments when you need engine bra...

Re: My Rover 2000SC automatic daily driver
The interior is a little scruffy, and the seats are from a series 2 car, but it's servicable for the time being. I hope to source some flatpleat seats, anyone? Apart from the seats, the interior really isn't bad. These interior photos are from September last year, and the handbrake has since been ad...

Re: Are we spending too much on our Classics?
I've spent rather more than I meant to on my P6 so far. I added up the receipts the other night, and died a little inside. Still, at least I didn't include fuel in that. I think I was just a little unlucky with my car initially, and it's still a little unreliable, but nevermind, it's now very...

Was Jeff Randall driving? Love the FD Victor/Ventora, very nice car. You must have seen a Ventora if it sounded nice.

Re: My Rover 2000SC automatic daily driver
A pair of ET headrests have been bought for the car for £20 and should arrive very soon.

My Rover 2000SC automatic daily driver
I bought my Rover in August last year from Chelmsford in Essex. I had a thread about it on the previous practical forum, but I'll start a new one on here. To begin with, here's my most recent day out in it, followed by my current to do list. I'll post more about what's been done in the past soon. Si...

Excellent issue, I haven't had the chance to read it all yet, but what I've read so far has been excellent. Please do keep up the good work.
