Re: Car SOS
Just watched the Anglia one... Was I the only one to wonder about the wisdom of giving such a heavily modified car to a person who had only just passed their test? If the chat was anything to go by the engine sounded like a virtual full race job that was (is?) found in short circuit Hot Rods develop...

Re: New Wheeler Dealers Coming Soon!
None hopefully... Going back to WD I managed to catch the Escort one, and thoroughly enjoyed it, like Mike I'd have preferred to keep the bronze colour (always felt it was a nice colour!)... Looking at that list there's only a few others I'd be interested in, but why did they have to do yet another ...

Re: New Wheeler Dealers Coming Soon!
I thought the change of the LSD to be a bit OTT?? Will have to watch that, done it many times in a rush when racing! TBH the original series of WD was my ideal car "fixing-up" prog, some useful tips and lots of showing how its done. All the newer ones, and those other programmes launched since, inc...

Re: V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
Peter I know what you mean. but my eye sight being what it is when it comes to close up work my depth perception goes out the window so I'm hunched over the bloody thing to do anything! Tried anything like these? I use them for my railway modelling... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Headband-Headset-LED-...

No doubt he'll get a ban which he'll then ignore and a fine which he won't pay... Not that I'm being cynical or anything...

Re: ford galaxy
Then I'd avoid MPVs and 4x4s, Rich, at motorway speeds they guzzle fuel compared with an estate like the Mondeo or Vectra...

Re: ford galaxy
Unless you've got a limitless supply of money then for the above (long motorway drives) a conventional estate gives far better mpg than any of the MPVs, so that's worth bearing in mind as well... Forget the Gov mpg figures, they give no indication of the horrendous fall-off in mpg the MPVs (and 4x4s...

Re: Morris Minor vs Triumph Herald
I would suggest that the Herald was more of a "ladies' car" http://www.itssolastcentury.co.uk/truck/sites/default/files/images/Triumph%20herald%20lotsw.jpg Couldn't resist... Personally I prefer the Herald of the two, I always think the Minor to be over-rated... Neither would be of any use to us as...
