Re: BL cars prices of the move or is it me?

And just prove the point there is an 78 Allegro auto for sale within the classic trade at the present - on the good side it has only covered 16,000 miles but it is dodgy brown metalic and for sale at £4,750 - a very smart VDP Allegro changed hands at a recent west country auction for £2k with 30,000...

Now Amy - When was the last time I did not agree with you - especially while you were holding your new shiny torque wrench - (well it was you that did not want blood on the wrench) - but I do agree that a womans positive prospective of classics would be good to find in the mags.

Re: Eastwood dual soda blaster ?. Worth it

I doubt for one minute that there is a company who can carry out a quality job of blasting a shell and etch primeing it for £200 ! - but I am always open to being proved wrong. For most of us doing our own restorations it is just not practical when you have a car without wheels / axles etc - up on s...

Re: Eastwood dual soda blaster ?. Worth it

NOT WORTH IT ! - When compared to the following uk supplied product from Millar - they do a 80kg blaster that will take both soda and hard media for under £200 - it was voted Classic & Sports Cars magazine product of the year for 2010 - they also do budget models for the cash strapped restorer and e...

Re: spitfire sills

Dear, Horrified of Surrey - the use of 'gotten' as a word of the qualified vehicle restorers dictionary is perfectly acceptable : 'Gotten' - Has in 'go get' / obtain / got ten of them.

I'm Northern, Grumpy and live in the South - married to some Canadian bit of stuff who is not that bothered about the Royal thing - despite your excuses for not following the big event we on the other hand have decided to celebrate in style - 'By the side of the pool in the lovley sun, G & T to hand...
