Possibly one of the worst photoshops ever. Anyway, there's no such thing as beige. Sandglow is the correct term.

Re: Red Dog - 1970 Austin 1800 MkII.
Eyup, John.
I wrote it up on the WOLSELEY FORUM as well (bit of a c+p job really). We have a large number of Antipodean members there and they decided that she should be the Red Dog. Never seen it myself, but the synopsis was pretty moral and good.

Red Dog - 1970 Austin 1800 MkII.
Seeing as Mr Barge asked so nicely..... You may recall on the old forum I (aided and abetted by my chum Theo) restored a Wolseley 18/85. Sadly that thread was lost and as a consequence I was slightly reluctant to do it all again on here; just in case...... Anyway, the edited highlights are that the ...

Re: Paint Problem.
"Curiouser and curiouser" said Alice.... Flatted back what had been done so far, and built up a further five coats as per Chris' instructions. Left it overnight. There was still some evidence of the grey streaking, which was disappointing. However, applying a bit of logic reminded me that when I fla...

Re: Paint Problem.
Thanks for the re-assurance, Chris. I shall do some layering up. Does make you wonder why the instructions are to use a grey primer under a red paint, when there are plenty of red primers available!
Rich, I'll see what I can do.

Paint Problem.
I have just painted the wing on my Austin 1800 MkII. It was largely bare metalled and blown over with etch primer. It then had two coats of high build primer which was flatted back with 400 grit w+d, followed by two coats of grey primer, which was flatted back with 600 grit w+d. Top coat is damask c...

Re: strange missing fault
I've had nowt but trouble with these "Hall Effect" trigger systems. The heat seems to get them quite quickly.,
