Re: Car SOS.

Car SOS fans around the world .... We need your help!!!. We really hope you enjoyed series 3 and hope we made a few dreams come true along the way. But here's the thing, even though the series rated really well, Nat Geo who make the show can't decide whether or not to do a series 4. We wondered if y...

Re: Car SOS.

Hello all, Phil has been quiet because he's been rather unwell lately, having suffered a stroke at the start of the year, but he's working on getting back to good health and popped in at the workshop last week. We'll go easy on him, if we get to make a fourth series of Car SOS ;-) Fuzzer Don't supp...

Rollover jigs....

I've taken on a new project car, 1988 Mk2 Golf GTI which is rather rotten in the sills and floor area. It's a limited edition 'one in ten million' campaign model to celebrate the production of ten million golfs. Which makes it quite desirable, so I'm really keen to do my best to save it. I'm thinkin...

Re: Rusty nuts and bolts

WD40 is not specifically a penetrating fluid/lubricant. There are better products on the market for such.

Re: New recruit saying hi...

Not sure what you mean by that but after fighting against it for the best part of a year, swapping metering heads, warm up regs, injectors, fuel pumps etc etc. I finally throw in the towel That's what I mean, have a bash yourself. Evidently you have. Does the GTI not have an accumulator to dampen ou...

Re: New recruit saying hi...

I don't know if you've heard of them but the car is currently in Interpro in Bristol having the above mentioned work done. I thought you would have had an educational experience yourself Not sure what you mean by that but after fighting against it for the best part of a year, swapping metering head...

Re: Introductions

Don't let's start a "What is a classic?" thread. ;) Thanks, I used to have a TR7 and always had the.... "It's not a real TR" speech, so I'm used to sitting on the outskirts. Although now I think it qualifies, so time will tell with my 80's bunch. Anyway, they're all still made of metal and they all...

Re: New recruit saying hi...

A pleasure to have you here Eddy. I'm not a fan of VW's and BM's. I suppose the GTI has some interest to me. But hey, that's the variation the forum has. The only BMW I like,is the 8 series. Is the GTI with Bosch Jetronic? Yes the white one is an early one so is a 1.8 8v on Bosch K-jetronic Continuo...

Re: Introductions

Hi, just joined. I just posted a big long intro post before spotting this one.

I know not everyone will consider my cars classics, 1986 Mk2 Golf GTI, 1988 Mk2 Golf GTI 'Campaign' and a 1993 BMW e30 Touring.

New recruit saying hi...

... Hi :D Quick intro, I'm 40, live in Bristol and have a love of 'modern/retro' classics. I'm sure there's lots of debate as to whether my cars qualify as classic or not, but either way I hope I'll be accepted here. I have an 1986 VW Golf Mk2 GTI http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/eddypeck/GolfG...
