Same reason that the Exide battery factory used to have very nice gardens. If your blood lead levels exceeded the proscribed level they took you off the line, and put you on "Gardening Leave" until it dropped back down again

Hats off. I was always told that Black shows up the slightest failure in prep, so the fact you can read stuff on the walls in the reflections is well impressive

Will almost be a shame to put paint on this, it looks fantastic in bare metal with all the work you've put in on it. I think these days original , or original with history is the way to go. I saw so many of those when I was a kid with slot mags and the rear jacked up with ladder spring hangers, and bad paint jobs, it's quite refreshing to see one box fresh

I believe I'm right in saying that if any of the vehicle's wheels are on the road (as in the case with A-frame towing) then the subject vehicle needs to be fully road legal - tax, insurance and MoT. This being the case, you might as well drive it? If you can't comply with this then you probably can...

If you can get your mitts on a computer power supply out of a junked PC, it makes for a reasonable bench 12v supply. I've done this with the resistor specified in the instructables link with a bunch of terminal blocks. Works well, and can supply a goodly amount of surge current http://www.instructab...
