Cheers :D

Re: Jokes thread

Re: Accessories with positive earth

I'd say yes to the SatNav, so long as you a) connect the correct polarity wire to the feed to the device and b) make sure that no metal par of the device can possibly come into contact with any metal part of the car - if it does, it will blow the cigar lighter fuse as this will make the circuit a de...

Re: The royal wedding bank hol scam!!!

If the Banks are closed for the day, then it's a Bank Holiday, plain and simple. Actually, Bank holidays have nothing to do with Banks specifcally, and never have. ;) Yes they have; they were the only business days when banks were allowed to close. Ah well then - as per my previous post, perhaps yo...

Re: The royal wedding bank hol scam!!!

So where does the name come from then? I'm glad you asked that! Here goes: They were introduced in 1871 by Sir John Lubbock, who was a Banker and incidentally also a keen amateur inventor and scientist, with a particular interest in insects, he was also a good friend of Charles Darwin. I quote from...

Re: Blogs

Not sure we can bring the old blogs back, but I also love reading the restoration project threads, so we've created a new section for pictures, stories etc. of your cars - hope that's OK and please do post your stuff up there!

Cheers :D

Thanks for all the great pictures so far - we've now created this new section for your cars and resto projects, so do keep posting, but perhaps start a new thread for each member if you like.

Cheers! :D
