Re: My Automotive upholstery
Reviving an old post, as I was looking for info on steering wheel restoration. Your work is inspirational. What would it cost for you to re-trim a steering wheel. I've been looking to restore my old leather but that quality and finish has made me wonder if I wouldn't just be a lot happier with the l...

Re: Looking for advice restoring Leather Steering Wheel
I would think that the leather dye used on seats could be used just as well on the steering wheel? I've seen it used and the results are impressive. Any links to specific products? or other threads. The same stuff I got here is also sold for seats, my concern now is buying the right product or sele...

Looking for advice restoring Leather Steering Wheel
Hi, I restored a wheel previously with what seemed like great success using a kit like this from eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/74-colours-50-ml-Leather-Dye-Stain-Pigment-Paint-for-Car-Bike-Sofa-Boots-/270914148610?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f13bdd902 http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/eddy...

Re: New recruit saying hi...
a shame it's taking a while, evidently the garage doesn't have enough staff to cover the amount of work. Did you change the accumulator? That;s true, they are a man down, one of the main guys got knocked off his motorbike a few weeks back and quite badly I believe. Just a couple of days after I spok...

Re: Rollover jigs....
don't expect to hang your bodyshell on one of these then cut out the sills and floorpan without bracing the shell first Thanks, I was aware of this and is a slight concern. But until I get the car stripped... which will be no time soon as I've other projects to finish I can't even assess the damage...

Re: Work shop manual
I have similar but on my Google drive, so accessible from any computer, phone or tablet I log in to. I can also share files with other people if I see someone asking for help. I have a copy of the cars's details, VIN etc so I can do on the fly look up; say standing at a parts desk. A reference sheet...

Re: Best motor bike in the world.
'best' is such a general term I don't think you'll ever get a definitive answer.... Best for a specific reason is a bit easier. I took my test on a CG125, had the instructor shouting in my ear over the bike to bike intercom to "go faster, go faster" on the dual carriage way. I was flat out  Can...

Re: Rollover jigs....
Thanks for the comments guys, with regards to this... From what I can see from the photos of the posted jigs, I would not buy either. Both seem to lack the important feature of height adjustment. ... the links were to the basic kit. The Mk2Mania link was to their standard one, they also do a deluxe ...

Re: Rollover jigs....
I've actually got 2 golf's, one on the road and the project. Once the project is finished it will probably be time to bring the other one off road and give it some attention so I'll get to use it twice at least. Then I can no doubt sell it on through the mk2 golf owners club so I'm no worried about ...
