Some more from today, 180 grit paper on an orbital sander and 4 hours and 8 cuppas later I ended up with this...

Hi everyone. Then there's my Alfa 156. Not a classic yet, but one that i think will have in the not too distant future (will be interesting to see how many of these survive another 10 years!). An update from today:- I've finished cutting a piece of venner to fit the little bit that went crumbly. As it was the end of the lunch hour, my D&T teacher gave me some epoxy glue and said I can have a go at sticking it on at home. Pictures below:- Awaiting glue~:- http://i839.photobucket.com/albums...

Just a quick update on this - I've strated taking the varnish off the wood, the I'm going to stain it and re-varnish. Hopefully to a good standard. Judging by the state of the underside of my front bumper chrome, I really don't think it is.
