John - the Bristol 403 was bright red - but exactly where you describe ie between the Ford Probe owners (who are a very sociable bunch) and the BMW (635?).
I agree with you about that Morris 10 too.

Re: Ryhope Engines Museum, tatie week steaming and classic c

Really sorry I missed you John - I am sure I had loads of questions for you! I spent lots of time drooling over other cars - I too loved the 62 MkII Zodiac you pictured, as well as a 1953 Bristol 2 litre (403?), the effort & detailing was fabulous, almost too good to be true. But there were lots of ...

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?

I followed a yellow Sunbeam Tiger from Ludlow all the way to the M6 and then into Lancaster services yesterday afternoon, it's the rally-prepared one that I see at least half a dozen times each year on the various classic rallies that I get to spectate, no piccies from yesterday as the car's camera...

Re: IT Help Required

From one of those PC's I have rebuilt in the past year ...... I recall that there was virus or trojan (dunno the diff) that reported (spurious) read errors as if disk failing. Cant recall the exact history - but it will help if the PC is booted up from the CD, ie rather than the CD inserted once it ...

Re: IT Help Required

You do not say what version of Windows (assuming it is Windows) you are running (ie XP, Vista, Win7 etc). That will assist any helpers. Or what the infection(s) was. In my experience often the only way to surely eradicate the harm of a virus etc is to rebuild entirely from original disks, or (prefer...

Re: Classictyres.com - Hi!

165-80x14 are now pretty rare Falken Sincera SN 807 Put 2 of these on the front of my Rover 2000 recently Dave Exactly! These are the only 165-80x14's that Blackcircles list that have a viable speed /load rating (ie above "S"). Whilst there are lots to choose out of 185-70x14's in T or H rating. I ...

Re: Classictyres.com - Hi!

I need to replace the 165/SR/14 tyres on my 1973 Audi 100, what are my best options? I have tried to find the Vredestein's but no one wihtin 150 miles of me seem to stock them Thanks, Dan 165-80x14 are now pretty rare and so seem to attract a premium - but I reckon that 185-70x14 are same diameter,...

Re: Mobile sand blaster around Nottinghamshire?

Dunno about Nottinghamshire (sorry) but Neil of http://www.blastingmagic.co.uk/ is a car enthusiast, but is based in Newcastle area, however I gather he travels far and wide with his van. He did a good job on some Datsun alloy wheels for me last year.
