Re: Car Radios

I agree with your comments about new music, my interest seemed to stick pre 1980s, that's all that I listen to through the set fitted.
Love the idea about the gramophone.

Car Radios

In my Singer, apart from loving driving it, I really enjoy listening to music when out and about. I currently have a period Sony portable radio that sits in its cradle under the dash http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj6/kevin2306/8E940F33-8329-4084-9CD1-6BD78998C8CD_zpsqh9nhbqw.jpg Whilst it looks...

Re: W108 Mercedes 280SE diesel conversion project

An annoyance but not a disaster. Have you tried a disposable in line filter on the gun?

Good work, looking forward to the result

Re: Automatic Transmission harsh shifting.

The torque converter on my box cannot be drained either so I just changed the fluid (7 times I seem to remember) until it eventually ran red (colour of the clean fluid) after a run. Once clean, I changed it again for good luck.

Re: Automatic Transmission harsh shifting.

The Borg Warner 35 box in my Singer is very sensitive to the fluid level being spot on, if it drops slightly low then it becomes 'grabby'.
Have you tried flushing the system with fresh fluid a few times? on mine, the torque converter fluid cannot be drained so relies on being flushed through.

Re: 1965 singer vogue recomission

Weather was dissapoingly wet this afternoon so cracked on with a little job. I did a favour for a mate and in return (unexpectedly) he gave me these lovely Lucas spotlights http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj6/kevin2306/7FD34A8B-1C30-407A-979D-FDA1EF561C66_zpsqwtqyuvn.jpg http://i268.photobucket.c...

Steering wheel covers

Do any of you use / like leather steering wheel covers? http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj6/kevin2306/13E2E593-1695-4D95-B3DD-F7A98338A946_zpszszc8lze.png I have a few hard lumps/lesions on my hands that get painful after a while when driving the Singer and I am thinking one may make things a bit...

Re: 1965 singer vogue recomission

Only just seen this thread. Reading it brought back a lot of good memories for me. Some because of the fact that I've covered a lot of miles in a Vogue, others because of good times in the area around Chirk/Llangollen. I recognised where every single photo was taken! Thanks for posting. Cheers FL, ...
