Datsun Bluebird 910 estate - front struts

I only ever seem to post when I need help ...... Treading new ground for me here but I feel sure someone will have done this all before. I needed /wanted to rejuvenate the front suspension of my 1983 W910 Bluebird (ie 910 estate). However the KYB listed inserts (parts 665014 or 365011) are end of li...

Re: Lifting window rubbers

Thanks for the responses (even if they are not what I want to hear). Thanks too for the kind words & encouragement John - mine may be the only 910 estate on the road in the UK. There one other in UK that changed hands recently, a red one now in North East I believe, but SORN'd. Makes my car rarer th...

Lifting window rubbers

Hello there. I am now installed with a nice, spacious double garage near Cheltenham (and very near Prescott hillclimb). So I have started attacking the paint lifting on my old Datsun Bluebird 910 estate - which some of you spotted when I was in Newcastle. There is one spot that is perplexing me - a ...

Re: Cleaned up pretty good.

Look forward to seeing this up and about indeed. Love Anglias - I had one as an economy measure back in 1980 that was a great drive, saved wear and tear on my Saab 99 in London, and the little 997 engine (in mine) revved forever. I recall though (not my car) the period mods were, apart from a 1500GT...

Re: John John ! Fibreglass mini !!!

I seem to recall that there was a manufacturer in Northumberland making fibreglass replica Mini shells in the 1990's, probably sold as a kit car. The one(s?) I saw looked like normal Minis (maybe deseamed) but I think they also did a hatchback version. It also succombed to some damage with the front...

Re: scimitar gte rear axle

Interesting aside (well interests me at least). I understand that Scimitar rear axles were used /homologated by DTV for use in Vauxhall Viva /Firenza /Magnum rally cars in 1970's. This then (I think ...) got a Jag spec Sailisbury LSD into the rally car.

Re: Can anyone identify these hub caps

I think the Devons and Somersets had a more convex hub cap as well as an "A" (or even "Austin" in the centre on the Devon). It's a while since I overtook either of them and I was too busy looking at the rest of the cars to notice the hubcaps! I have a fondness for the Somersets - I suspect it was m...

Re: Can anyone identify these hub caps

I so cant compete with the superior knowledge and memories here! But I would guess and only guess at a slightly older Austin - like an A40 Devon or Somerset, although I suspect that they might have an "A" stamped in to them. I shall have a peep next week when I am next at the Haynes museum. Sadly th...

Re: ignition lead set

Not my area of expertise but I would measure what you need, take samples and go to Andrew Page, Unipart etc. Dont expect your car to be catalogued, but with luck you will find someone behind the counter very keen to help. Only thing is that if you want the caps to look like the old style (??) you ma...
