I bought a tin of Erbauer ones from Screwfix - £10 for 10 and a nice tin. Very poor life and one disintegrated on first start up before I'd even hit the metal. That was mildly exciting... Now I buy bulk boxes from my local welding supplies place. Unbranded, cheap, fine.

73 on the ballast resistor is actually part of a wire in the loom, so the OP may not even be aware that it's even there.

Those ignition switches are available from Somerfords. Fitted to some of the later Minis. Come on, you're nearly there.

The ali support bit will not fot your gearbox, Angyl. There isn't room. I tried that one some years ago. You share your gearbox with the venerable 'Crab in its 4 and 6 cylimnder guises.
