Yeah by all means, I won't as I haven't spotted anything interesting, but as soon as you do, then go ahead and start one in "General". Can make it a "sticky" if it takes off....

Cheers! :D

The old saying is true mate - "If it's got tits or wheels, it'll give you trouble".

I feel for you mate - I wish I could come up with some more suggestions, but without seeing the car it's really difficult. Do keep us updated, and don't give up!

Cheers :D

Re: 'Tank' A 'Rolling Resto' Bloggy (of sorts)

Good stuff.

I like "Zeb" - good cars these, only yesterday I bought a 1997 V70 T5 - only £900, a few issues to sort out but boy does it shift! Enjoying your thread as I'm all "Volvo'd up" at the moment :D :D

Really helpful post actually - there's a man who knows his Jags!

Re: Bendix starter motor and AHHHHHHHHHHHH

S-type - agree with plan 1 & 2 but not sure about 3 because it seems to me that the problem isn't tha your starter doesn't have enough torque, so a high-torque starter motor is only going to have the same problem, but will just jam with more force? Basically, there are (or have been) thousands of th...

Re: Alvis TA-14 restoration story so far

This is fantastic stuff.

That stub axle is pure metal-porn - love it.

And any restoration where you get to use engineer's blue to get the adjustment and alignment right gets 10/10 for me. Brilliant stuff, I'm quite envious.....

Keep it up! :D

Re: Members Classic Cars

Can the admins move my TA-14 thread into this section? Thanks! Done! Thanks for that, your thread is exactly the kind of thing we want, and personally that's exactly the kind of car I want to read about, so many thanks for that and keep up the good work. Remember - just because you don't get many r...
