Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

I had a bit more of a poke around at the blocked fuel return on the P6 this afternoon. One issue I'd had with trying to blow the line clear before was that due to the connectors involved I'd really been struggling to get a good seal to the air line to get any actual pressure into it. After a rummage...

Oh that does look like fun! Good luck with that mate :scared: It's one of those things where the actual job is probably not that difficult. It's just a pig to get to. A new sender unit isn't horribly expensive at least if it comes to that. -- -- -- Had some errands to run earlier today, so of cours...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Had a look to ascertain precisely how awful access to the fuel return line was at the tank end today. Our target: https://i.ibb.co/m4ck9FP/IMG-20231115-131242.jpg Lines from left to right are return, reserve and main fuel feeds. Access is as expected, awful with the car on its wheels. It's about in ...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Fuel line I'd ordered arrived this morning to replace the rubber lines up front on the P6 which are unlikely to take kindly to ethanol. These on the other hand shouldn't care. https://i.ibb.co/YfZpBjY/IMG-20231114-141904.jpg https://i.ibb.co/ZMs8cVb/IMG-20231114-141924.jpg Bought through Glencoe . N...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Starting to feel *slightly* more human today so spent a few minutes poking the fuel return line issue. I'm assuming that there is an orifice somewhere in the return line to ensure that there is sufficient pressure delivered to the carbs. The absence of anything at the engine end to that effect leads...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Not likely to be a huge amount going on over the next few days, I've managed to come down with an absolute stinker of a cold which has utterly knocked me sideways. I was pretty surprised when the COVID tests I've done came back negative as that's how bad I've been feeling. Today though I forced myse...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

How badly bodged is the wiring loom? So far I've not found much. Yet. I think most of that you can see just relates to the radio. Plus there's something funky with the headlights I've not had time to investigate yet. Though that could just be a dodgy switch too that's been bypassed. Currently there...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Given the weather I've not been doing too much car related this last few days. Especially as family are off work this week so I've been trying to be social. Wanted to tick something off today though as a few parts have recently turned up. First up was this functionally unimportant but visually annoy...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

One of my pet hates are insurance companies.. any excuse not to pay.. the one I use though still has an office and someone who will actually help.. Have you considered building a car port to for a bit of protection when you're working? Sadly not an option here due to planning rules. Otherwise it wo...
