Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?

I used to own a beige 2 litre ghia.. I put a new front end on it.. couldn't afford the insurance so it got sold.. :( Mine was an ex-fleet car. I'd sorted a few of the "pool" cars for the company I worked for and as a "Thank you" got the Cortina for a knock-down price and paid for over a year!! :D I...

Re: 206

I'd also look at the cabin filter area ... that's the intake fed from the bonnet intakes. I found one on our CC full of leaves and the filter was soaked. Otherwise the door and window seals and also the screen bonding could be a source. Maybe dry it out as much as he can (hard this weather!) and tes...

Re: Austin A35 Project

Here's a pic of the new "flanges" on the nearside I've had to create to replace what was "de-laminated rust": 20231024_170237_copy_464x825.jpg You should also be see the new piece I've welded in the front panel. That will eventually be attached to the patch that is going into the valance soon. And t...

Re: Austin A35 Project

So lots of playing with cardboard and scissors over the past couple of weeks ... I'm re-building what should be some "box" sections behind the front panel and join that to the inner engine bay panel, inner wings and wheel arches/tubs. The reason? They don't make these bits and most of the A35's have...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

If this is anything like the Renault dCi engine the AA diagnosed our Clio with a high pressure fuel pump issue. My Sealey diag actually said it was the Glow Plug Relay .. changed that, same issue. That actually turned out to be a dead glow plug (actually two!) but I could only diagnose it with the o...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

I had the Lexia kit too but on an old laptop which slowly lost functions .. like the built in mouse pad which meant carrying around a USB mouse .. think that was running Windows2000 ... bought the kit from AliExpress but when I tried to install the PeugeotPlanet s/w that came with it my anti-virus s...

I remember when my 206s airbag light came on. It was traced to the steering column (forgot the correct term for the electronics).
Remembered the term: Squib!

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

I remember when my 206s airbag light came on. It was traced to the steering column (forgot the correct term for the electronics). Popped into my local Peugeot dealer who sold me one for around £30. Got it home, removed the steering wheel and it was the wrong part. Took it back next day and the corre...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

That dash is very similar to the 206 dash esp the higher end CCs (apart from the low rev counter max!) My daughter had a 2.0l CC and hat was a pain to read the dash with the roof down as well. Luckily it was never taken across the Channel so the Km/h markers weren't needed. Peugeot electrics do have...
