Re: Clocking

I'm sure I read somewhere that you could put the cable in an electric drill or is that a myth? Not again!" written on the back. but I'm sure...

Re: Austin 10 clutch

Oh yeah... i didn't notice the dates. I wouldn't dream of arguing with you John. Mainly because I haven't a clue what you are talking about and I thought there was only the diaphragm type clutch!! never heard of any other type before now ;) I was merely warning that they can be sticklers over...

Re: Austin 10 clutch

Without casting any aspertions on John's expertise, he's helped me out many a time and is a very top chap, but the chaps over on the "Old Classic Car forum" may be better placed to help. A lot of them run pre war cars and will be able to tell you exactly what you have in your car and how it should f...

Re: noisy air filter

I fitted one of those to my herald for a season Kev because I thought it looked cool! But I too found it noisy and it seemed to reduce the already pitiful power even further! went back to the original air box and filter. Much better!

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?

No photos unfortunately as I was driving, but I saw several great looking Minis heading East on the South Wales section of the M4 yeaterday. Had a "Minis to Ireland" Rally banner on them so I hope they all had a great time and thanks for putting a smile on my face. Seeing Minis always puts a smile o...

Re: Stainless exhausts, best current suppliers?

I used Bells silencers in Swindon for the SS exhaust on my Herald. It was about 10 years ago but they are still there and I used them for SHMBO's modern. They used to supply TSSC with all their SS exhausts. maybe they still do. Anyway as local to me I got them to fit it too. I was very happy with th...
