I see that even at the slowest speed it consumes 490 watts, which is over 40 amps at 12 volts

I haven't used Alibaba either, but they are a Chinese company so I would be inclined to treat them with caution. The other point that crosses my mind is the power consumption of the electric unit. If the sump comes off easily and it's not using a lot of oil, you have nothing to lose by having a look at the bearings. If the crank journals are ok, all you have to do is change the shells and the cylinder head. Buying a secondhand engine is fraught with risk.

You can't cut toughened glass. The glass company will cut it from normal glass and send it away to be toughened.
