Re: Lightning strikes

Yep. Pretty much the same truck except mine is stock as a rock. There is a motorweek review somewhere on YouTube about the truck when it was new.

It's a pretty nice truck and everything works. 211k miles but my friend installed a Ford rebuilt 351c ...

is this an EU thing? I think that if someone wore a full body suite in Texas during the weather that we're having now, painters would be dropping like fly's.

Re: Lacquering wood

Use automotive clear coat (the stuff you paint your car with). It's got great UV protection and is tougher then anything used inside. It also chemically hardens.

Re: Automatic Transmission harsh shifting.

Dextron III should be backwards compatible. Still thinking that there is a vacuum issue.Get on a Chevy forum. People there will tell you everything there is to know about that transmission. Don't tell them it's for a Rolls Royce, they'll start making Grey Poupon Jokes :)

Re: Automatic Transmission harsh shifting.

I'm familiar with a Torque flight. I own a British car that uses it. You just have to ask a hotrodder. The important thing about a TH400 is that it's very strong and there are lots of good aftermarket rebuild kits for it and they're not expensive. I had one rebuilt and it cost me $600 (here in TX) i...
