Re: What would you buy & why?
Sounds like a direct copy of my own test!!! Early December 1967. My old mum didn't even know I had a bike! She came home from work to find a Matchless G12 parked in the front garden.... Week before Xmas. I came home to find a blue Reliant van parked outside - mum's attempt to lure me off motorbikes....

Re: What would you buy & why?
Ah, these pictures prodded me to the old maxim, "never drive your heroes"...... Possible sacrilege to follow??? As a youngster, I only ever had 2 car posters on my bedroom wall, the E-type and a Lamborghini... I never was that interested in cars, preferring motorcycles so they vied for wall space wi...

I have a table top, hand operated Singer very similar to the one in the image immediately above the pic of a treadle table. It was my Mother's, then after she passed, Dad used it to modify his suits as his torso had become shorter but larger around the middle as he became less able to get out and a...

Looks amazing .. enjoy! How many other cars have the handbrake to the right of the driver's seat like the XJS? I know the A30/A35 does (I have an A35!) but haven't seen that set up on many. Two from memory were my late dad's A60, the car I learned to drive in, plus a Hillman Hunter I briefly owned ...

Re: MG TF Question.
Thanks for looking that up Gazza, I do appreciate it. The information that I can't find is how the engine deals with the heating the the K series so miserably fails at. You see the latter TF is notorious for overheating and blowing it's head gasket. The K series engine has strengthening bolts that ...

Hi "RichDick", welcome back..... Speaking from personal experience Suzuki's are great little cars but for heaven's sake find out where it was built before parting with your cash... Back in 2013 we bought a brand new Suzuki SX4 SZ4 to replace our similar earlier (2006) one, as it had done over 150,00...

Re: breakdown truck
The car in the ad is the final Cipher built, and was Samara powered. This addressed the original problem that the car was deemed unsuitable for production for, the complete lack of power.... Although Kittens are nippy little cars the Cipher was not being significantly heavier. The Ciphers were built...

This is only a fraction of what I have, been collecting die casts since the late 1950's, in fact still got many of them. There are a few Dinkies and Corgis but mostly I have Tri-ang Spot-On models, in fact at least one example of every one they ever issued (between 1959 and 1967 when they went out o...
