I found 1024 x 768 pixels to be the "sweet spot" as it works with most screens.

An easy way to test the gauge is to earth the sender wire. If the needle goes all the way to full then the sender is the problem.

Good to see plenty of progress. Taking the doors back to bare metal was definitely the right move. I had to take my Dolomite back to bare metal and I uncovered excessive filler on sound metal all because of a few dents that could've easily been pushed out.

Where's Harvey when you need him (the resident autobox guru)? I would second the suggestion of flushing the transmission and making sure that you use the correct transmission fluid.
