Re: Do you have any pets/animals?

A blind rescue rabbit, although that doesn't seem to stop him running about like a loony, a rescue rat, and two gerbils, I can't remember where they came from, probably another hard luck story. The rabbit is the last of a series of half a dozen, 4 of which have been rescue or cruelty cases.

Re: Bang to wrongs?

Add to all of the above that it's printed on the V5 that it's only the registered keeper that's shown, not the legal owner, and you have all the ingredients for this kind of c*ck up.

Re: Haynes Customer Services

In both the above cases, bearing in mind the amount the items in question cost, there was no way that the small amount of money they in effect "lost" could have bought them such a good advertisement and recommendation. I'm sure this isn't the first place that it has been mentioned. Money well spent ...

Re: 1985 Polo 1272cc 'Caddy'

Do my eyes decieve me or is that a working tailgate on that? Looks like it, and congratulations if it is, I'm fed up with seeing "pickup" conversions without one, (presumably because it was too difficult to do) which to me is just a two door with a large birdbath on the back. I really hope I'm right...

No.
Thanks for that.

(There's plenty of other things that do though, but I'll keep quiet about those.... )

Mmmmmm.....Lotsa good stuff. I particularly like the D Series hiding next to the Scammell, I've had a couple of those, but unless they're petrol they're bl**dy slow, the FD and the Viscount (but I'd want to be putting V8's in those. Does that make me a bad man?) and the American pickups

Is it a Passat ?
I know nothing about VW's (and am probably about to prove it,) and half the pic seems to be missing on my computer, but I.m going to say it's a K70.

Re: Triumph 2500 auto as a tow car?

I'm sure the car's up to it and just to make sure I'm going to fit an oil cooler for the transmission. I'd really appreciate the forum's views as to my assumptions and any other advice relating to this subject. I think you'll find that it already has a really good cooler fitted, a separate one that...

Re: Stuck, rounded off inaccessable $%^& head bolts!

If it's the bolt that I think it is from reading his description it's down in a well and you won't get an impact socket on it. I use a thinwall bi-hex Britool socket that I've had for years but TBH most times I think the socket has split when it's just the bolt coming undone with a crack. Sooner or ...

Presumably that means 10 degrees on the distributor, which as it runs at half crankshaft speed equates to 20 degrees there......Possibly.
