What the actual f***! friends don't let friends sacrifice their careers for them. What kind of welfare state do you live in where that's an option?

Re: Welder Question
It sounds like you have a kink in the liner that's causing the wire to feed inconsistently. Either that or you're not using the right sized drive wheels.

Re: Advice on brake judder, might not be easy...
Are you sure that the issue is in the brakes and not worn steering components? Your braking at certain speeds could create vibration at the wheel from worn pitman arms, tie rods, ball joints etc that may not show up while going down the road.

Re: over charging
Not read completely through but are you sure that you don't have a bad ground (earth)? Wires can get mighty hot if there not enough ground and tach will act bonkers.

Re: Yet another "what should I buy next?" type of thread..
How about this beautiful Ford F350. Crew cab, leather and ice cold a/c. 7.3 liters of diesel goodness and the 300lbs grill guard in front of the radiator really helps with over steer. https://scontent-dft4-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/19366151_10158935409510165_3819699480130068263_n.jpg?oh=f46f331c46c3a2...

Re: Ropey Jensen for sale
I'm not sure i'd call the previous owner a collector and I don't think the investment value of a Jensen interceptor justifies anywhere near the level of effort needed to do anything with this pile of rust.
With that said, best of luck to him

DOT 4. Be careful with DOT 3 as it's been known to create problems with older British rubber.

Re: Battery question
Newer chargers with microprocessors do not like completely dead batteries. If you have one with a timer, charge it at 10 amps for a while so that it has some charge and then switch to an automatic charger.

Re: cleaner emissions
I don't get how the Jaguar mentioned would have had to have original parts sourced and replaced when the LPG kit was removed, unless that car had no facility to run on petrol, but then wouldn't it have been a PITA to start? Yep, it was all removed when the conversion was done including the tanks, c...

Re: cleaner emissions
Considering the title and enquiry is about 'cleaner emissions'. If the car is standard petrol or diesel, the surely you need to be looking at adding LPG. As in the USA they run LPG in with the diesel to give a cleaner burn & makes it more efficient. But unlike diesel powered vehicles, petrol powere...
