Re: Austin A35 Project
Well it's not the fuel injected one but it is mine! Spend several hours yesterday getting access to my A35 in my late Mother's garage. As I expected the bonnet has been bent in, but I know of a few around or a man that might be able to "unbend" it. It took a while just to get to this stage as just i...

Re: What modern engine/gearbox to use
I think it is the same design as the Minor .. but the car is going to be pretty narrow compared to a Scooby. I can try and get you a rough measurement of the width of a Scooby flat-four as I have one on my garage .. albeit in the engine bay of my BRZ! ;) That would be the easier of the FA20 units to...

Re: What modern engine/gearbox to use
Getting a 1275 Marina/Ital engine is getting harder since they started to use them in the HRDC Academy A30s/A35s ... they get snapped up to be built into race engines at over £3K a pop! And they do have a habit of going pop  The MX5 is quite high and the gearbox may need "trimming" to fit or ...

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
There's an XJS (under a cover) now parked on our road .. the owner normally has this parked on his driveway but the builder's are in. Can't see much of it as it's under a partial cover! Also spotted an Alfa Junior on the M40 last Sunday .. but very non-standard .. build by the team at Retropower .. ...

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Followed a deep red E-Type V12 today .. travelling west on A40 near Uxbridge/Denham junction. Top down (it wasn't raining earlier!)
Must have been owned by Lucifer at some point given the "666" in the registration! If the owner is on here, no offence meant .. the car's gorgeous!

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Lada, Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70
You comments about Depo lights reminded me about the pair on the 206. After an altercation with a crash barrier on the M4 I needed a new pair ... and a few other big bits ... but when I can to fit the side lights the inner reflector was actually masking the side light hole!! I had to dremel the hole...
