Tracing the cars history
I`ve just puchased a 1969 Herald 13/60 and looking at it its clear that the car has some history and has been a colour or two in the past, as most have, and has had an engine swap. I want to try and find out more about it and wondered if anyone could recomend any ways to research this? DVLA do tell ...

Temple Farm (Galleywood) the Stock Road b1007 site (Don`t think its actually temple farm, but backs onto it) is more interesting having parts of aircraft there well until recently? Temple is still there but I always preferred the Windsor one at Ramsden. A better mix of stuff there, a decent mix of o...

Classic scam by the looks of it. Variation on the You`ve got 50 million virus`s on your pc, and we can help one... Best thing to do with any of these types of websites is to disconnect from the internet and run your existing anti virus software. I`d be inclined to use Spybot / Avast although there a...

Re: Wipers wont turn off!
Thanks to all that commented. My initial guess was the stalk (switch) and it proved to be correct. The garage, a local Mot Station that are the kind that try to pass your car rather than fail it, that looked at it for me, guessed that that was the case (well I can get them to stop if i hold the swit...

Went to wash the salt off the front screen of the daily, wipers came on and now wont go off! They`ll go faster but won`t quit.

Re: Battery Addatives
Thanks everyone that posted on this one. I was sceptical that the car would start this morning as it was distinctly minus on the temp scale, unlike yesterday where it was + but snowing heavens hard... Anyway cranked fine and I`ve a hundred or so miles under the belt since then and the battery seems ...

Battery Addatives
As Its got a little colder I`ve noticed that the modern Diesel doesn`t turn over like it ought, nothing major but just enough to be noticeable. That cold crank just didn`t seen so enthusiastic. Until yesterday then key in and nowt, although it could be the interior fan (that doesn`t now turn off wit...

Re: Help !! Head gasket failure - temporary solution??
A work mate has a C200 and he had a similar problem. Turned out that the water pump gasket was failing and as a result he needed to top up every couple of days. He picked up a cheap replacement pump and fitted it in an afternoon without any problems... job done. Are you sure that the gasket is going...

Re: What music do you listen to?
Given my username have a guess????
Megadeth, Metalica and currently a bit of Static X on the heavy side.
Lep, Hawkwind, Iron Maiden, G`n`R and Motorhead on the other end of the scale.
So a "silver machine with" a "502" to do the "1320"?
Sadly too many projects just "Rust in Peace"...
