Re: wheeler dealers jag mk2
Given the apparent current fashion for looking for every possible opportunity to criticise Wheeler Dealers on this forum I am somewhat surprised that no one has pointed out the howler in the recent Jeep programme when Mike exclaimed "That's a genuine Spitfire there!" over footage of a Hawker Hurrica...

Re: wheeler dealers jag mk2
I agree that towards the end of the programme there was a shot of the Jag driving away from the camera emitting smoke but this was accompanied by Mike Brewer's voiceover summing up what they had done to the car and it was pretty obvious that this was meant to be before restoration footage of the car...

Re: wheeler dealers jag mk2
Just watched it and, having previously seen the comments on this thread, I was looking out for smoke during the trip around Oxford. I couldn't see anything untoward.

Re: Do you think we will ever get a vote on the EU?
........none other than observation, but I suspect without political and economic union European conflict would have been more likely rather than less I suspect that it's simply a matter of a change of attitudes following the horrors of the world wars - the scale of casualties, mass bombing of civi...

Re: Do you think we will ever get a vote on the EU?
I can't think of a longer period in history when we haven't been fighting the French, Dutch, Spanish, Germans, etc, either one at a time or any combination thereof, and they haven't been fighting each other either. What evidence do you have that this period of peace is a direct consequence of the e...

Re: Mornington Crescent, anyone?
Dear Practical Classics forum,
In case anyone hasn't heard there is a new series of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue starting next Monday. Hopefully there will be at least 29 minutes of Mornington Crescent in each episode!
Yours Faithfully
Mrs Trellis

Anyway I have been able to download all my data onto a couple of DVDs so I can load stuff to my new PC as and when I need it. :D Th...

Re: IT Help Required
I got it to boot from the CD and it started to reload Windows XP but got stuck half way through. No matter what I try the PC will not do anything but restart the Windows set up process when it's switched on and gets stuck in the same place - i.e. asking me what language I want to use but I can't rep...

Re: Mornington Crescent, anyone?
The game consists of each panellist in turn announcing a landmark or street, most often a tube station on the London Underground system. The apparent[1] aim is to be the first to announce "Mornington Crescent", a station on the Northern Line. Interspersed with the turns is humorous discussion among...
