Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

Lol, well it wasn't intentional it's just the way the dice has rolled. I basically bought the first van on bit of a whim with my dad (it came up through a commercial van dealer we know at a silly price we couldn't resist as they had taken it in as a px against a newer van) but after years of cutting...

Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

Cheers, I'm putting the 71 of the back burner for a bit and trying to get my other van running, which is a 1968 deluxe. Re: Exhaust Pipe Bending

I've had some good success's in the past with a simple hydraulic bender, I worked out my own little system where I could replicate bends how I wanted them over and over. I've built a few cages (for show use only before anyone says it :) ). I was young then and realise now that the cage would probabl...

Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

Been a while since I touched the van, mainly with work and decorating at home but being honest I am loosing interest quickly and I'm having to really motivate myself to go out into the garage  I've started on the dashboard, I was going to have a go at trimming it myself but have decided against...

Re: Cheapest place for waxoyl?

Cheers,

I've found a local supplier ( http://www.lloyd-jones.com ) that can do 20ltrs for £90 which is competitive with waxoyl and this place is renowned locally for being expensive

Re: Cheapest place for waxoyl?

Smith and Allan also have an eBay shop, though I can't see any corrosion inhibitors or protection stuff there. It may be a better way of contacting them though - eBay like their sellers to reply to questions (though some have lost my trade because they don't reply!) http://stores.ebay.co.uk/smith-a...
