Re: Is there anyway to trace an old car?

Thanks for that!

I knew you could request information from the dvla about previous owners of a car that you own but you had to be the registered keeper. I never realised you could ask for information, I guess this is mainly for people involved in incidents with other cars etc.

Big help cheers,

Is there anyway to trace an old car?

I know it's an age old problem/question, Is there anyway to trace a classic car? A work colleague of mine is trying to trace an e-type that he owned 40 years ago, I know the trick with DVLA vehicle enquiry which I've done and it shows its current status as sorn. So we're assuming it's still out ther...

Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

Cheers guys , I think I'm going a tad photo overload so I promise this is the last one for a while (back on shifts now anyway) Alternator and fan assembly etc all buttoned up, just the dizzy and carb to sort out now. Then it's add oil and fuel and see what damage it will do 8-) Last one for a while ...

Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

Another dull instalment from me, one day I'll have a running van! 8) I think everything's finally done, although I'm thinking I'm going to have to paint the inlet manifolds to match now. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/89Rallye/68%20Deluxe/Engine/0B17C759-F5A1-41DC-A5EC-DCE55CF6982D_zpsgail4q...

Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

Well not a lot to report on the camper front as I've been slowly trying to source parts, Have managed to do a bit on the new engine for my other van, I'm going to try and get this running, mot'd and registered as soon as possible. It's now been converted over to a bigger Ali oil cooler as found on t...

Anyone here registered with Co-part? after a massive favour!

Not been about for a while (working strange shift pattern of late, hence it being 1.30am!) so I hope everyone had a good Xmas & new year. Anyway down to brass tacks, I've seen a car that I desperately want to purchase BUT it's a cat B break only write off on copart and you need to be registered in t...

Re: Exhaust Pipe Bending

Yeah that's no caddy sport anymore, such a shame. :( I used mine for two years while I renovated my house then started to restore it but my dads work mate son was desperate for one as he'd just passed his test so I sold it to him. Which was a mistake as it's still sat untouched and unloved in a lock...

Re: 1971 VW full build (warning lots of pics)

It's one of the worse vans I've done and needed the works, sills, outriggers, arches all round, window frames, roof gutters, front panel and nearly all floors That's nothing. I think you should have had a go at restoring this one: http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/67766 You're the man for the ...

It's not as small as it looks, easily enough room in the boot for two bodies. Which in 1975 would of probably been a good selling feature.
