thats cool thanks I think i made a boo boo and topped up without running the engine. would an over fill be responsible for a bit of jolt though as it seems strange all was ok then i topped up and i got the golt back.
any thoughts

i had gone through the gears and took it out for a short spin but the level was checked with the engine off. I will drain out a bit of fluid just as like you said i may have over filled.

well today massive steps forward. replaced the two shot anti roll bar bushed, very simple job. discovered someone had replaced one and used a split coolant instead of using a replacement bush...some people. also ran the car up and down the road going through the gears and was very smooth engaging an...

Hi guys
I thought a syphone used the partial vacume created by the flow of liquid. also i believe a syphone only dends to work when the source is higher than the recipiant. Something to do with balanced forces if they are higher , the recipient that is.

I have had a similar problem with landrover drum brakes. the shoes are sided so make sure you get the leading edge on the rigth shoe

Hi harvey yes i tookyour advise and ordered the correct stuff. in typical delivery van practice it was delivered to the wrong house and dpd have no idea where itis as the house they said they delivered to has no idea of it arriving. well put the hear shields back on the car on Sunday and also refitted the front brake guards. Replaced the two damaged oil cooler fittings (many thanks Harvey!!). I also removed the rear heat shields for some TLC as they has a little surface rust on them. also give me a chance to blast up some stone...

Well today i made up the missing oil cooler bracket and fitted the new front flexi hoses. also reconnected the speedo replacing the cable. also replaced the rear engine / gearbox mountings with new bushes.
