Re: breakdown truck

Nice blower, but you'd want strong arms to take a selfie with that.. :scared: Meanwhile, Rich, just for you here is a little breakdown vehicle: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DINKY-TOYS-No-430-COMMER-BREAKDOWN-TRUCK-WITH-WINDOWS-1954-64-EXCELLENT-BOXED/372779717408?hash=item56cb671320:g:3zQAAOSwdb5dh6vi...

Re: breakdown truck

I don't have the best track record when it comes to owning plastic minis! That said, the wonga I (eventually) got from the Venezuelan authorities did pay for the van, so there may be a lesson there somewhere. Either way, it's of academic importance as manual transmission is about as much use for me ...

Re: breakdown truck

I've only ever seen the original, kitten-based Cypher, which was on a 1998 Land's End to John o' Groats run that I did in a Rebel along with several dozen other Reliants and their owners to celebrate the ROC's 40th anniversary. That was a very nice wee car, beautifully proportioned and light, so the...

Re: breakdown truck

 I so would mate, but I have to sell the tiny Mitsubishi before I can have any more toys with engines! It's not so much the quantity of cars, but that I had sort of promised my amazingly supportive next door neighbour - currently lumbered with one of my working, complete motors on her drive -...

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?

Rich? Is this you under a new user name? Dammit man, loads of forum folk chipped in for the flowers and the condolences cards, if only we'd known that you'd simply broken the internet and were, in fact, still alive, then you could have talked me out of buying Yoda, my campervan... https://jubilee-li...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Lada, Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

....Small job in the grand scheme of things but it's nice to have it ticked off. IMHO, nothing finishes off a restoration like a fresh pair of plates in the correct style & font for the period. Call them the icing on the cake or whatever but they just lift the appearance of the whole car to the poi...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Lada, Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

   Wow! That 24th scale one comes with working lights and even brakes! That leads me to believe that the braking system on the model can't possibly be based around the same sort of rear shoe adjusters as the 1500 Kombi I owned for a while back in 1986, when it was only two years...
