Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Jag, Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

 Do you plan to cut back the long edge of the worktop? I ask simply because the overhang may make the process of removing the grill pan somewhat more risky, especially if the cook is removing something that's on fire. OK, so that's maybe more representative of my own lack of cooking skill but ...

Re: breakdown truck

   Interesting vehicle and that description has to be the best I've seen since 2004, when eBay still allowed sellers to add their questions from and answers to potential buyers on the listing. My favourite bit, taken completely out of context and therefore funny (to my dodgy waterwork...

Re: Electronic ignition kit

I know a lot of my Austin colleagues use Accuspark products .. The trouble with these is that they come with no way of knowing what the original spec of the distributor was, so getting the right advance curve is a matter of pot luck, unless you remove the electronic stuff and build it up into an or...

Re: breakdown truck

Well how did you get on with the fridge thing? I failed! I would have turned up as I really don't like to make an arrangement only to let someone down  , but this bloody voluntary driving thing got in the way (I'm ok with it really, it provides endless entertainment) and I ran out of time. So...

Re: Electronic ignition kit

My first port of call would be to ask a mini specialist for a price to buy a good used electronic distributor from a 1300cc Metro and swap its distributor drive for the offset D type from the ADO16. Paddock spares sell the cheap (£0.06 each for orders of 100 or more from China, £22 for one from Padd...

Re: Tractor please...

:o I have never heard of a Monet Goyon starlette before now, and the first   has such a fabulous patina. (Thanks to Welsh scrap dealer and TV presenter, Drew Pritchard, for making it OK to be too bloody lazy to restore stuff "properly" ;) ) The other one looks a little more worn, but t...

Re: breakdown truck

Err,OK, but why woody do that? It's akin to painting a moustache on Mona Lisa's face, IMHO. :? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49954336328_54be129006_o.jpg Because the facebook link didn't need my neighbour's sign in details to be readable to this anti-FB, (pro-feeding Zuckerberg through ...

Re: Tractor please...

Oh I'm easily pleased, so any venue that brings together images that illustrate shiny machinery and offers that machinery for sale is always a good thing, more so when the stock consists of such beautiful oddities. Way out of my tractor budget just now, but certainly a site to watch in case I manage...

Re: Bbc link

You're more than welcome, it took more effort to summarise my original draft than it did to post that up for you! It feels good to have been of some actual use, I must try that more often. That said, I can't help but like the underdogs from the world of ancient transportation machinery and mo...

Re: Tractor please...

   Oh wow! That's almost as beautiful as a Field Marshall, maybe even more so but far, far more eccentric. I reckon that one of these would make very usable daily transport for gentle local journeys, my favourite is this sort of thing, especially in black and white, or is it in ...
