Re: alternatives to MGB GT's?

there is very little room in the back of a B GT - not really a 2+2. Triumph Stag, might get one for that money, might need a bit of work though?

Re: Recommend auto angle grinders

I have only had 1 - my old Bosch is still going strong after over 20 years of total abuse. Never done anything to it other than change the discs! (oh and repair the cable after I cut it in half)

Re: Thoughts on old cars with new engines

I am with most of the above, the engine is there and Ok so I would put it in and use it - I think when it comes to it you will enjoy the car a lot more. If it does go bang - worry about it then - hopefully that will never be a problem.

Re: What constitutes a classic?

Now the organisers have taken on the VicRoads definition of a classic (ie: old enough for Historic rego). From next year the cars must be 25+ years to enter. There has been a royal outcry from some of the clubs/forums about it, but at least it is a hard-and-fast rule everyone can understand. [/b] I...

Re: Tools

I usually go for Britool - good mid range stuff. Snap On would be lovely but cannot afford it. Steer clear of the real cheap end of the market there is some real rubbish about. Is it me is Draper Professional not as good as it used to be?

 Erm, you might want to change your image host, Aar0sc. All I'm saying is thank goodness I don't use Windows. Those are some very suggestive pop-up women! Shame I'm sorted for tonight really, Miss Edinburgh looked quite tasty......    Someone else has said tha...

Re: Top Gear

It is even MORE cringeworthy how 5th Gear has tried to blatantly copy Top Gear in recent years (and failed totally). have to agree with this - 5th Gear does not work for me at all. I think it says it all that my kids who are not into cars will happily watch Top Gear but would not even consider 5th ...
