Re: 60s-80s cars for a film.

Re: What Car did you Pass up and Always Regret

Well, having been at sea for 2 years in the RN I came home in 82' with a pocket of dosh ( well enough for an 20yr old single lad anyhow). I narrowed my choice of 1st car down to . Mk1 Cavalier 1.6gl. white, black vinyl roof, rostyle wheels and boudoir red velour 1978 'S' reg. Or Triumph Dolomite 13...

Re: What Car did you Pass up and Always Regret

Two stick in my mind, predictably both Mantas. I'd always promised myself a Manta A, and finally bought one 11 years ago. Just after I bought it I got my first club mag, and for sale in that was a Broadspeed Turbo. I was seriously tempted but had just bought mine. If memory serves the guy struggled ...

Re: Practical Classics restoration show, who's going?

I'll be at the NEC, but at a trade show. Looks like it'll be busy with the PC show, Gadget Show live and the CIH trade show.

Re: Car SOS - New Series!!!

I think Tim let's the show down, I don't like his on-screen persona at all. I suppose it's like all the people who are annoyed by Mike Brewer on Wheeler Dealers.

Re: 'Modern Classic' Insurance

Usually agreed value classic policies don't use or accrue NCD, so protecting yours may be a problem. A lot also seem to require you to have another car as well.

Is Danny a railway Jonah?

Did Danny leave Steam Railway Magazine because he was some sort of Jonah? According to the article on the Spitfire Express "Oliver Cromwell" suffered a major failure and had to be replaced by 47500. Just as the subscriber copies were hitting the mats 47500 derails and catches fire at Manchester. I t...
