The Chrysler V6 doesn't like having the EGR disconnected or blanked - keep it standard, is my advice

I don't think Ive seen 35amp blade fuses - only 30 or 40amp. I would try 30amp myself.

I had exactly that happen on my MGC - fitted a new rotor arm which was faulty right out of the box.PaulTugwell wrote:The rotor arm has been changed, admittedly for another black one but it would be very unlucky if it had exactly the same problem.

There is an issue with the very last XJ/ZJ/WJ engines due to cracking of cylinder heads - there is a telltale casting number on the head which is something like 0331. - a search on google for the details will throw it up. I have two Jeeps powered by that engine here in Abu Dhabi. I drive them hard for long periods of time in temperatures of 45C (and sometimes higher). The engines are absolutely bombproof - one has 270,000 km on it, all of it in this country.

For cleaning, Vanish soap, a nailbrush and warm water are unbeatable, wiped down with a sponge and clean water
