Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Jag, Citroens, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

I get the Tesla and LEZ-compliant issue, but if you seriously consider a Volvo 850 or phase 1 V70, let me know, as I have a V70 which fully fits all your criteria except the LEZ one. Mine's not for sale, but i can tell you a lot about them, I've had mine for 11 years and it's superb, massively good ...

Re: Austin A35 Project

Re: breakdown truck

Just an observation. Television companies hire their cars along with period props like telephone kiosks, letter boxes and other street furniture. Morse's Jaguar, Foyle's Wolseleys and other period dramas are all hired. Most owners are happy for just a small fee if the resulting publicity gets them ...

Re: recommendations for a compressor

I'm not up on what's good and what's not right now so can't give you a recommendation. However, personally I'd not worry too much about the tank capacity, what's really important is the CFM in free air - that's the amount of compressed air it can deliver per minute. Far more important, as some air t...

Aha!

Welcome back Chap - looks like another great resto project there, quite a machine that. Looking forward to seeing another superbly executed job. How's that Lotus Cortina you did? Do you still have it or was it for someone else?

Cheers! :D :D

Float - you can try Morris Minor and Mini suppliers, they're fairly generic, but not quite like that one. Failing that, you could open up yours and fill it with cork?

Re: Black and silver number plates

I think it's all to do with the date of first registration of the car, irrespective of whether it's had a number change or not since then, so I think you'll find that the rules apply equally to "cherished" numbers as to original numbers. My opinion, not fact, but I should very much think that's the ...
