Re: Estimation Singer Gazelle IIIC 1962

Location will have quite an effect on value. Quite so, after all values differ greatly even within the British Isles, let alone on mainland Europe. For example cars are much more expensive in Ireland than in England, we once sold a Mini to an Irish guy who did a bit of business coming over to buy c...

Re: Estimation Singer Gazelle IIIC 1962

Hi, I note you're posting from France - do you mean how much it is worth in France, or here in the UK? We have a member (Dick) who lives in France and may be able to help with French values....

Cheers!

Re: Austin A35 Project

Loving this thread. Look forward to more progress, I did a complete nut-and-bolt restoration on my MG Midget many years ago, and under the skin they've got a lot in common, so I reckon I'll recognise quite a lot of the challenges that you will no doubt come across. I'll post back if I have any tips ...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Jag, Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Loving the mirror switches!! Those aren't switches, that good ol' mechanical mirror adjustment! Nope...they're switches for the electric adjustment. Up/down works on the passenger side, left/right works on the driver's side. Oh OK, I stand corrected! I could have sworn it was mechanical on these. A...

Re: Zel's Fleet Blog...Jag, Citroen, Mercedes, Sinclair & AC Model 70

Regarding the rust: have a think before you drench it in rust preventatives. That's going to need some fairly serious welding, with new metal being required, and most rust preventatives will catch fire when you weld, making it much more difficult and dangerous. As you say, that needs doing pretty so...

Re: Tractor please...

Thanks Harvey! Another statistic for you - all the parts that could be removed were blasted back to bare metal then primed with zinc phosphate. Then another coat of Ford Tractor primer, then two coats of top coat (either Ford Blue or Ford tractor Grey) which took a total of 11 litres of paint. Plus ...

Re: Tractor please...

The lawn wasn't done with the tractor - the topper cuts to about 4-5", but I'm sure you knew that. The photos were taken on the very day it was completed, it hadn't done any work yet - hence the lack of chaff and dust on it! Re: Tractor please...

I finally got some joy from imgur. Last year my wife bought me this for my 60th birthday: https://i.imgur.com/wpjY0Of.jpg It now looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/4sTXS0Q.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Ua9WRnf.jpg I spent all last winter and spring restoring it. I still have (and use) the topper, but di...
