Yes I agree, it should be able to be repaired. By Australian standards though, that car is scrap. Rust repairs are very expensive here (unless you DIY) because they are so rarely needed. It still surprises me how much more badly cars rust in the UK. I guess its the salt.

It does sound pretty rusty, maybe use it as a donor for an older Aussie Mini. It would be a good way to upgrade a '70s Clubman.
