I have an Austin Somerset which has been off the road for a couple of weeks and I recently changed over to silicone brake fluid which I have used in several cars with no problems. However, she has developed a ‘hydraulic lock’ with the system being pressured ...

Omega 3 ton trolley jack (G493F)

Hi
I have had my Omega 3 ton trolley jack (G493F) for many years and it remains an excellent jack. However, the seals are weeping and I wondered if it is possible to obtain a seal or service kit from anywhere.

Many thanks
Malcolm

Re: Adjusting cable brakes

Hi Many thanks for your reply! I have to say the Lanchester is also a very lovely car. I have always had cars from the 50s and 60s. It is a steep learning curve going pre-war. The cars are remarkably more primaries to drive and the comparative lack of spares and information is s bit of a shock!! Mal...

Adjusting cable brakes

Hi
I have a 1939 Sunbeam-Talbot 10 with cable operated brakes all round. I have just had to purchase new shoes and have the cables re-made. Any advice on setting up and adjusting the cables?
