Hi all, Slightly long (and boring) story but suffice to say that an update by the hosting provider borked the site. It has reminded me why i don't normally have automatic updates enabled for any critical systems. I've been away from cars for a while as excessive rust and losing every weekend for too...

Hello one and all.
Having been absent for quite a long time i had not noticed that this forum appears to have fallen out of use.
At time of posting (12th March 2023) there has been no activity for a year.
If anyone still finds this site useful please post a response.

If you put a spark plug in the end of the king lead and rest it on the block do you get random sparks when you turn the engine over? From experience, the timing marks on the crank pulley have very little to do with the actual crank position. To find TDC take the pulg out of cylinder one, pop something long and plastic in to the hole so it touches the top of the piston and get a friend to slowly turn the engine over until you see ...

I'm not stuck in the golf, I am looking for someone that is prepared to sell me the sound deadening from behind the dash of a car they are breaking. its a bugger to get out so not worth it unless you already have the dash and heater boxes out I have everything else ready to put in then I can sell it...
